IN PERSON AND ONLINE TICKETS FOR MEMBERS AND NON MEMBERS ARE AVAILABLE HERE.

The Post Production & Facilities Branch Committee would like to invite you to the AGM & SOCIAL

We will elect the Committee for next year, vote on the ideas submitted by you to determine the priorities for the branch, give reports on achievements and successes this year and hear the latest Bectu news. We encourage you to come along to get involved in your branch and to meet fellow colleagues during our networking session.

Would you like to join the Committee?

Our branch is run by the Committee which consists of members of our branch who work in post production and we volunteer our time to lead the branch. We work as Editors, Assistant Editors, Runners, ADR & Dialogue Editors just like you. We are accepting nominations for new committee members.

Would you like to help support the work of the branch, develop your skills or join discussions on how to grow our community, boost training in post production or improve working conditions for you and your colleagues?

Please fill out the Committee Enquiry Form on our website to put yourself forward. You can also nominate yourself for an additional role listed below.

Roles in the Committee

Everyone on the Committee plays a valuable part in running the branch. We participate in meetings, projects, events and discussions such as the mentoring scheme, rate cards and assistant editor’s toolkit, to support members.

We work by a “little and often” and “many hands makes light work” approach to ensure work is spread evenly among members and we always accommodate individual personal and work commitments when scheduling our meetings and deadlines.

Different people take on different roles in the Committee based on their individual interests and skills. The Chair, Secretary and Bectu Official regularly check in with, train up and support all members of the Committee to allow the committee to thrive. There are the following additional roles:

Chair

Vice Chair

Secretary

Assistant Secretaries

Information Secretaries

Newsletter Secretaries

Minutes Secretaries

Social Media Reps

Website Reps

London Production Division Reps

We have written summarised role descriptions on our website. If you're interested in one of these roles, or joining the committee you can book an online chat with the Chair/Secretary to find out more about what it would involve and to ask any questions you may have within the enquiry form.

Branch Suggestion Bin

The Branch Suggestion Bin is a new way for members to send in suggestions for the Branch. Your idea could be a new way we could support members, an idea for an event, training resource or project, or something that you have identified as a problem in your job that you'd like to raise to other members. We will use these suggestions to determine the branch's priorities for the Summer through a vote at the AGM.

Please send in your ideas and check out the web page for examples. This allows the Committee to hear directly from you and helps us understand the priorities, opinions and appetite of the membership so that we can tailor our work to the needs of the branch. The ideas with the most votes will be reviewed by the Committee with the aim of developing them into projects.
