On Thursday June 8th, the BECTU Post Production & Facilities Branch will be holding their Annual General Meeting, where the coming year's committee will be voted in. The Committee consists of 15 people, and includes a Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Communications Manager and Training Manager. We meet every couple of months to discuss ways of improving working standards in post-production.

In the past year we have established detailed rate cards, set up an extensive new deal memo and working terms and conditions (in TV Drama), set up a rates survey, built a website www.theroughassembly.com and social media accounts, put on events, made some beer mats and represented you in the very important PACT/BECTU negotiations, both in TV Drama and Film.

We are looking for any BECTU members who are interested in joining the committee and want to get actively involved in the branch for the coming year. Any BECTU member currently working in post-production or at a facility can stand for election.

This is a meeting for all members, including new members who sign up on the night. There will be sign-up forms, and your first year is only £10 a month. If you're fresh out of education/training it's even cheaper at £5 a month. And it's tax deductible. BECTU membership offers many benefits and discounts including BFI membership discount, freelance/small business insurance, public liability insurance and much much more.
